正在美国逐渐走红的朋克乐队Fall Out Boy来自芝加哥，成立于2000年。乐队的成员是4个好朋友：贝司手、创作主脑和乐队的发起人Pete Wentz，Joe Trohman（吉他手），Patrick Strump（主唱和吉他手）和Andy Hurley（鼓手），他们的初衷只是想把当初伴着他们成长并带他们入朋克摇滚圈的音乐与更多人分享。
他们的处女专辑Take This To Your Grave完成于2003年4月，之后他们以一系列的巡演和宣传 轻松地搞定了所有的乐评人和歌迷，这张专辑的销售也突破20万张 。第二张专辑From Under the Cork Tree于2005年春天发行后，他们又开始了新一轮的巡演和宣传。专辑的主打歌“Sugar, We're Going Down”还在2005年8月29日举行的第22届MTV音乐录影带大奖的颁奖礼上获得了MTV2奖。
