Lee Jung-hyun stirred up the local pop music scene with techno-music in 1999. Songs like “Come” and “Change Change,” Lee was a sensation in the Korean pop music world in the late 1990s. Lee originally debuted in the entertainment world as an actress who starred in “Flower Petal” in 1996. Lee kept quiet for a few years since her debut as an actress, but revealed her talents in music and dance by appearing in music videos “The Rule of the Game” by Goofy and “Fever” by ChoPD. Soon after that, Lee made her official debut as a singer by releasing “Let’s Go To My Star.” Through her first album, Lee tried to deliver ‘the healthy message of hip-hop and the psychedelic mood of techno music.’ Recording daily sales of 15 thousand copies, Lee’s first album was a huge success. Lee’s second album released the next year was also a big hit with songs like “You” and “I’ll Give it to You” recording great popularity. Lee’s 3rd album was released in October, 2001. Along with her music, Lee Jung-hyun is well-known for presenting brilliant visuals in her albums and on stages. Recently, Lee Jung-hyun is actively promoting her music and performances in Japan as one of the stars of the so-called “Korean Wave.”
